Rajganj, 23 April (Siliguri Chronicle) – A rare display of peaceful polling was witnessed at Ambari Business Colony under the Rajganj Assembly constituency, where camps of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), BJP and CPM were set up side by side at the same spot.
Defying the usual atmosphere of tension and rivalry during elections, the area remained calm, with visible coordination among workers of all three parties.
Party workers were seen assisting voters and carrying out their duties smoothly, without any reports of disturbance or conflict.
Representatives from the parties stated that such arrangements are not uncommon during elections and have not led to confusion in the past.
Despite political differences, the scene stood out as an example of tolerance and peaceful democratic conduct on polling day.
