Siliguri, 24 May (Siliguri Chronicle) – The “Sorashori Shankar” programme was organised at Baghajatin Park in Siliguri on Sunday under the initiative of Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh, where residents from Siliguri and several districts, including Malda, Cooch Behar and Kolkata, gathered to place their grievances, complaints and suggestions before the MLA.
During the programme, people raised various issues ranging from personal problems to allegations of land grabbing and corruption in recruitment processes. MLA Shankar Ghosh listened to the concerns of the attendees and assured them that the matters would be brought to the attention of the Chief Minister and the concerned departments for necessary action.
Speaking at the event, the MLA said that similar “Sorashori Shankar” programmes had been organised earlier and would continue in different parts of Siliguri in the coming days.
He further informed that ward-wise “Sorashori Shankar” programmes would also be organised across areas under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation in the future.
