Rajganj, 06 May (Siliguri Chronicle) – Discontent has surfaced within the Trinamool Congress following its defeat in the Assembly elections, with former Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy blaming election strategist I-PAC for the outcome.

Speaking to reporters at his residence on Wednesday, Roy said the party relied too heavily on I-PAC rather than its own organisational network, which he believes contributed to the loss.

He alleged that overlooking ground realities and depending primarily on inputs from I-PAC weakened the party’s position. Roy also described the pre-election decision to replace several regional leaders as a mistake.

He further questioned the selection of Swapna Barman, saying she lacked sufficient political experience and a strong organisational base.
