Final preparations underway at the rally venue in Kharibari ahead of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s address, with security and infrastructure arrangements being put in place. Thursday, 16 April 2026.

Kharibari, 16 April (Siliguri Chronicle) – Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to campaign in Kharibari on Thursday in support of BJP candidate Durga Murmu.

The Assam Chief Minister is scheduled to address a public rally at 3 pm. Preparations for the event are in the final stages, with arrangements being completed at the venue.

Security has been tightened ahead of his visit, and police personnel have been deployed across the area to ensure smooth proceedings.

A helipad has also been set up at the Batasi PSA ground for his arrival.
