Siliguri, 20 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Allegations have emerged that flags and banners of the Trinamool Congress were vandalised in different parts of Siliguri. Following the incidents, the Darjeeling district unit of the Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) lodged a written complaint at a local police station on Friday.

According to the youth wing, unidentified individuals are allegedly tearing down party flags and banners under the cover of darkness in several areas across the city. The organisation has accused the BJP of being behind the acts, claiming they are driven by fear of defeat in the upcoming elections.
