Siliguri, March 19 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Syed Waquar Raza, the newly appointed Police Commissioner of Siliguri, carried out an inspection of key areas across the city to review and strengthen security arrangements ahead of the upcoming festive season.
With Ram Navami and Eid approaching, the police administration has stepped up its preparedness to ensure public safety and smooth management. During the inspection on Thursday, the Commissioner reviewed traffic regulation, crowd management strategies, and overall security measures along major city roads.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Quazi Samsuddin Ahamed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Tanmay Sarkar, and ADCP Traffic Purnima Sherpa, along with other senior police officials.
The team visited several important locations, assessed the ground situation, and issued necessary instructions to further enhance security arrangements across the city.
