Fulbari, January 19 (Siliguri Chronicle) – The foundation stone for the second campus of Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya was laid on Monday at Sahudangi in Fulbari I Gram Panchayat, marking a major step towards expanding higher education facilities in the area.
Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb attended the programme as the chief guest. He was joined by Dilip Dugar, Chairman of the Siliguri–Jalpaiguri Development Authority, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Sanjay Tibrewal, college authorities, students, and other dignitaries.
According to the authorities, the new campus will be developed on nearly three acres of land and will be completed in phases. The first phase will involve construction of a boundary wall at an estimated cost of about Rs 1.5 crore. Further phases will include additional infrastructure and development works to fully establish the campus.
