Rajganj, January 13 (Siliguri Chronicle) – The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Tuesday launched the ‘Unnayan Samvad Yatra’ in Rajganj with the aim of taking the state government’s development initiatives directly to the people and strengthening grassroots outreach.
The yatra began at Mantadari Gram Panchayat in the Rajganj Assembly constituency, where party leaders offered a ceremonial puja at a local temple before setting out.
To ensure smooth implementation, the party has formed three separate teams for the programme. The outreach campaign will cover various gram panchayats across Rajganj from January 13 to January 27.
The yatra is being led by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy. Among those participating are Rajganj Block TMC president Arindam Banerjee, TMC women’s leader Sarbani Dhara, youth president Niladri Ghosh, along with party leaders and workers including Archana Roy, Raju Sahni, Devashish Biswas and Mosharraf Hussain.
During the campaign, residents were informed about several state welfare schemes such as Lakshmir Bhandar, Kanyashree, Swasthya Sathi and Sabooj Sathi. Party representatives also listened to public grievances and assured people that their issues would be addressed.
