North Bengal on priority list, CM Suvendu Adhikari Vows Monthly Visits for Work

During his Siliguri visit, CM Suvendu Adhikari announced monthly North Bengal tours and weekly NBDD office operations at Uttar Kanya.

Siliguri, 20 May (Siliguri Chronicle) – Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday made several announcements related to the development of North Bengal during his visit to Siliguri. He said he would visit the region every month strictly for official work and not for leisure.

The Chief Minister also announced that the Minister of the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD) would hold office at Uttar Kanya once every week to oversee administrative work in the region.

Adhikari arrived at Bagdogra Airport on Wednesday morning to attend an administrative meeting at Uttar Kanya. A festive atmosphere was witnessed at the airport as BJP workers and supporters gathered in large numbers to welcome him.

Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, NBDD Minister Nisith Pramanik and several BJP leaders were present at the airport during his arrival.

Speaking to media persons, Adhikari said the people of North Bengal have shown trust in the BJP since 2009. He assured that the promises mentioned in the party’s election manifesto would be fulfilled gradually through various development initiatives in the region.

After arriving at Bagdogra Airport, the Chief Minister travelled by road to the BJP party office at Mallaguri and later proceeded to Uttar Kanya to attend the administrative meeting.
