Rajganj, 28 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Abhishek Banerjee is set to address a public meeting in Rajganj on April 1 in support of Trinamool Congress candidate Swapna Barman ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
The meeting will be held at a ground in the Sudamganj area under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat. Preparations are already underway, with local Trinamool Congress leaders closely monitoring arrangements.
On Saturday, Khageswar Roy, Chairman of the Jalpaiguri District Trinamool Congress, visited the venue to review the progress. He was accompanied by Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, along with party leaders Mohammad Zakir, Arjun Das and Tushar Kanti Dutta.
During the inspection, the team assessed key logistical aspects, including the proposed location for the main stage, feasibility of a helipad, and other arrangements for the public meeting.
