Gautam Deb’s ‘Jai Shri Ram’ Greeting Near BJP Stage Sparks Buzz in Siliguri During Ram Navami

Siliguri, 27 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – A strong message of goodwill and unity was on display during the Ram Navami shobha yatra in Siliguri, where Trinamool Congress candidate and Mayor Gautam Deb joined the procession and extended greetings across party lines.

During the yatra along Hill Cart Road, Deb approached a stage set up by the Bharatiya Janata Party and greeted party members with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” Upon noticing BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh, he repeated the chant, which was acknowledged with a respectful response.

Accompanied by his supporters, Deb also greeted BJP district president Arun Mandal with a hug near the stage and conveyed his Ram Navami wishes.

He further interacted with members of the Bangiya Hindu Mahamancha and visited multiple organisational stages set up along the route to exchange greetings.

Throughout the procession, Deb was seen holding a Ram flag and chanting devotional slogans. Later, he visited the Sevoke Road area, where he continued to engage with participants and extend festive greetings.

The event, marked by participation from various groups and leaders, reflected a spirit of harmony and togetherness, as political differences took a back seat during the celebrations.
