“No real Contest,” says Gautam Deb after filing nomination in Siliguri

Siliguri, 02 April (Siliguri Chronicle) – Trinamool Congress candidate Gautam Deb on Thursday said he does not see a tough contest in the upcoming elections, claiming that the sitting MLA would be pushed to the third position in the final results.

Deb made the remarks after filing his nomination papers at the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office in Siliguri.

Earlier in the day, party leaders, workers, and supporters gathered at Baghajatin Park before taking out a large rally to the SDO office for the nomination filing.

Several senior party members joined the procession, including district TMC chairman Sanjay Tibrewal, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Members of the Mayor-in-Council, councillors, and other district leaders.
