Kharibari, 26 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Trinamool Congress candidate Rina Toppo Ekka began her day by offering prayers at a Shiva temple in Panitanki along the Indo-Nepal border before starting her election campaign.
Following the prayers, she visited a youth who was injured in an accident, enquired about his health, and assured him of necessary assistance.
She later reached Satish Chandra Tea Garden, where she interacted with tea workers and listened to their concerns. Having previously worked as a tea labourer herself, Ekka also joined workers in plucking tea leaves during her visit.
While seeking support, she expressed confidence in her prospects, stating that voters would back the development initiatives carried out under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Ekka added that the response from the public during her campaign has been encouraging, indicating strong support in her favour ahead of the elections.
