Siliguri, 24 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Siliguri Mayor and Trinamool Congress candidate Gautam Deb visited the family of a minor girl who died under suspicious circumstances in the city, offering his condolences and assuring them of all possible support.
He was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Ward No. 01 Councillor Sanjay Pathak, Borough Chairperson Gargi Chatterjee and other officials. During the visit, the mayor spent time with the family members, expressing solidarity and assuring them that the administration stands by them in this difficult time.
Deb urged people not to politicise the incident and instead come forward to support the grieving family. He also called for the immediate arrest of those responsible and demanded strict action in the case.
