Naxalbari, 20 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Trinamool Congress candidate Sankar Malakar began his campaign early Friday morning, launching his outreach from a tea garden area in Naxalbari.
According to reports, Malakar visited Manjha Tea Garden, where he interacted with tea garden workers and sought their support. He was accompanied by the district chairman, the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad’s Sabhadhipati, and the INTTUC president during the campaign.
Speaking to the media, Malakar said that the development work carried out under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached every booth. He added that over the past 15 years, several initiatives have been taken to improve conditions in tea garden areas, and his campaign is focused on these achievements.
He also accused the BJP of indulging in divisive politics and misleading the public, claiming that people are backing the Trinamool Congress in the upcoming elections.
