Siliguri, December 02 (Siliguri Chronicle) – A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Siliguri on Monday night, leaving the local community shocked. The deceased has been identified as Saddam Hussain, a resident of the Dangipara area.
According to police sources, a patrol van from the Anti-Crime Wing discovered his blood-soaked body near the Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das Flyover late in the night. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death and the events leading up to the incident.
The body was recovered and taken to Siliguri District Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police used the youth’s mobile phone and several documents found on him to contact his family.
Family members said Saddam had attended a wedding ceremony the previous day and was on his way home around midnight. Authorities are now trying to piece together his movements before the incident as part of the ongoing investigation.
