Ward Utsav ‘Navodaya’ Kicks Off in Siliguri’s Ward No. 01 with Festive Enthusiasm

A grand rally marked the launch of Ward Utsav ‘Navodaya’ in Siliguri’s Ward No. 01, promoting unity, harmony and community participation till January 30.

Siliguri, January 19 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Ward Utsav ‘Navodaya’ was formally inaugurated in Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 01 on Monday with a grand rally. The rally began from the Siliguri Junction area and passed through different parts of the ward, marking the official start of the festival.

Ward Councillor Sanjay Pathak said the Ward Utsav commenced on January 19 and will continue till January 30. He said the aim of the programme is to strengthen unity and brotherhood beyond caste and religion, spreading a message of harmony among Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities.

The inaugural event was attended by Siliguri Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, members of the Mayor-in-Council, other councillors, and a large number of local residents.

A series of cultural, social and community-based programmes will be organised during the Ward Utsav, with active participation from the residents of Ward No. 01.
