Tension flares over Ram Navami flag row in Rajganj’s Belakoba area

Rajganj, 26 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Tension gripped Belakoba after allegations surfaced that police obstructed the installation of a Ram Navami flag, triggering unrest among local residents.

According to local sources, preparations were underway to install the flag at Battala More in Belakoba when an on-duty police personnel allegedly intervened and halted the work. The move sparked anger among locals, who soon gathered at the spot and staged a protest surrounding the officer.

Upon receiving information, police from Belakoba arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. The officer involved was subsequently removed from the area to defuse tensions.
