Rajganj, March 19 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Swapna Barman, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from the Rajganj Assembly constituency, began her election campaign on Thursday after offering prayers at the Bhramari Devi Temple. She visited the temple along with party workers and supporters to seek blessings before formally launching her campaign.
Barman said she prayed for her father’s recovery and sought divine blessings ahead of the campaign. She added that youth development would be the key focus of her campaign, with particular emphasis on creating employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
Referring to four-time MLA Khageswar Roy, Barman described him as a guardian figure and said she plans to meet him and campaign together during the elections.
