Fulbari, December 04 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb visited Fulbari on Thursday to check the progress of work under the Amrut 2.0 project. He was joined by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, MMIC Dulal Dutta, and a team of municipal engineers.
During the visit, the Mayor inspected the jack-pushing work of a 1200 mm MS carrier pipe at Murder More near the Fulbari Asian Highway crossing. He reviewed the alignment of the underground pipeline, the use of trenchless technology, safety measures, and the overall pipe-pushing process at the site.
After the inspection, Mayor Gautam Deb said that work under both Phase I and Phase II of the Amrut 2.0 project is moving at a good pace. He added that the visit was aimed at ensuring there are no delays or technical issues in any part of the project. The team also inspected the designated site for the proposed new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Fulbari, along with the ongoing jack-pushing work.
