Siliguri, January 04 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb on Sunday conducted a public outreach programme in the Bidhan Market and Khudiram Pally areas of the city.
During the visit, the mayor interacted with traders at Bidhan Market and residents of Khudiram Pally, listening to their concerns over day-to-day civic issues. He also took stock of the facilities available in the area and enquired about the difficulties faced by local people.
As part of the outreach programme, Mayor Gautam Deb visited a house in Khudiram Pally, where he fondly recalled old memories associated with the locality.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Gautam Deb clarified that the programme had no political connection. He said his sole objective was to stand by the people, listen to their problems, and make sincere efforts to resolve them, adding that addressing the concerns of common citizens is his responsibility.
