Siliguri, 25 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday held a series of public meetings across several Assembly constituencies in North Bengal, stepping up the Trinamool Congress campaign for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
She began the day with a rally in Mainaguri, where she addressed a large gathering of supporters.
From there, Banerjee flew by helicopter to Jabravita in the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency and spoke at a public meeting in support of Trinamool candidate Ranjan Sil Sharma. The programme was attended by party leaders, including Jalpaiguri candidate Krishna Das and Siliguri candidate Gautam Deb.
She later travelled to Naxalbari, where she addressed another rally backing party candidate Sankar Malakar. The day saw back-to-back campaign events across key constituencies in the region.
In her speeches, Banerjee launched sharp attacks on the BJP over various issues while highlighting the achievements of her government, striking an assertive note ahead of the upcoming polls.
