Siliguri, January 17 (Siliguri Chronicle) – The year-long silver jubilee celebrations of Kabi Sukanta High School concluded on Friday with a grand programme that brought the festivities to a memorable close. The celebrations created a lively and joyful atmosphere across the school campus throughout the year.
To mark the milestone, the school organised a colourful procession in which teachers and students participated enthusiastically, reflecting the spirit of unity and pride in the institution.
During the silver jubilee year, the school hosted a series of cultural and educational programmes. On Thursday, students showcased various performances, while teachers presented a well-received drama. The celebrations also featured performances by Baul and Dotara bands, adding a traditional cultural touch to the event.
The concluding programme on Friday was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, SJDA Chairman Dilip Dugar, Ward No. 47 Councillor Amar Ananda Das, Councillor Nurul Islam, former councillor Snigdha Hazra, MMIC Gargi Chatterjee, and Councillor Biman Tapadar, among others. The school authorities felicitated the guests during the event in recognition of their presence and support.
Students also presented a documentary based on the theme of patriotism, which received appreciation from the audience. Another major highlight of the programme was a musical performance by Rafa Yeasmin from Malda, a singer known for her appearance on a reality show.
The headmaster of Kabi Sukanta High School stated that the silver jubilee celebrations would inspire students to excel in both academic and cultural fields in the coming years. He also thanked teachers, students, staff, alumni, parents, and well-wishers for their cooperation and contribution in making the celebrations successful.
