Assembly Elections 2026: Shankar Ghosh Hits Mayor’s Turf in Siliguri, Connects with Residents

Siliguri, 20 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh campaigned in the Mayor’s area on Friday morning, reaching out to residents in the College Para locality as part of his election drive.

He interacted with locals during morning hours, engaging with people out for their daily walks near the college ground. Later, he visited Baghajatin Park, where he continued his outreach, speaking with morning walkers and spending time with residents.

Earlier today, Ghosh was also seen playing badminton at the park, drawing attention from locals present at the spot. Visuals of him holding a racket and participating in the game have since circulated widely.

Speaking during the campaign, Ghosh said his political journey began with student politics at Siliguri College. Expressing confidence ahead of the elections, he said he is receiving encouraging responses from the public and remains hopeful of gaining their support once again.
