Siliguri, 20 March (Siliguri Chronicle) – Campaigning for the Assembly elections has picked up pace in Siliguri. On Friday, Trinamool Congress candidate and Mayor Gautam Deb visited Ward No. 04 as part of his outreach programme.
He toured areas including Jyoti Nagar and Tumal Para, where residents raised local issues and grievances. Deb listened to their concerns and directed municipal officials and MMIC members to take necessary action.
During the visit, he also criticised the BJP over the alleged removal of voter names during the SIR process. He was seen interacting warmly with elderly residents and children, adding a personal touch to his campaign.
Earlier in the day, Deb took a short break from campaigning and visited a gym. A video of him lifting dumbbells and using a treadmill has surfaced on social media, drawing attention to his focus on fitness.
