Siliguri, December 29 (Siliguri Chronicle) – Exciting news for tourists as Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri is set to welcome several new animal arrivals in the coming year, expected to become major attractions.
The safari park introduces new attractions for visitors every year. Last year, lions, langurs and spectacled monkeys were added to the park. This year will be no different, with elephants, giraffes and several other animals expected to arrive in 2026.
Park authorities said that after the successful breeding of tigers and lions, the wildlife division is confident about the park’s ability to accommodate new animals. At present, the Royal Bengal tiger population has increased to 14, while the park has five lions. Authorities also plan to allow lions to roam freely in safari zones for tourists in the new year.
The Director of Bengal Safari Park said that new arrivals, including elephants and giraffes, will be introduced soon to enhance tourist attractions. He also announced that an elephant safari will be launched shortly to further improve the visitor experience.
